Don't worry about the bait part...I have a new image to protect....I'm part of the establishment on that other Board...they say I make sense....thus the Mother can't just her ignore herTabby anymore...then I discovered I could make it larger...It will be gone soon...

Read pg 33 of Johnsons 911 & 912 Porsche book, which states that in 1969 andnd 70 the plain rear chrome guard was standard on the 912 and 911T and the 911E and S the rubber became standard and was an option for the others.. Also page 18 says in 1967 the rubber pad for the front bumper was made standard for US cars but optional else where... Hmmm a bit confusing..huh..anyway most of the 67's I have seen have been without the rubber pad...most 68's and later have had it..

Cooler than 110*.....It's been running plus or minus a couple of degrees this side or that of 105* the whole summer. However at midnight it is still 90*. This is my second summer and the heat doesn't seem to be quiet as daunting as it was last year. However I'm mostly in the house with the AC blowing cold...

The major thing that has happened up here is that property values are appreciating at a torrid pace. Two weeks ago a house in my development closed at 675K for 3700 sq ft this week (8 days on the market) a 4100 sq fr house went on the market for 769K...everything being about equal between the two except for square footage. Two blocks away iin a Toll Brother development the same 4100 sq ft house would be 1M. A year ago March that same house was 361K...Las Vegas is no longer cheap. People are actually selling out, taking their profit and moving to Phoenix, cause it's cheaper.

I don't think it's the day time heat that gets me, but walking out of a casino at midnight and it's in the 90's O'h man !!

and I don't even want to talk about houseing prices, you can't hardly buy a shack here for 500,000

    Luggage

    Sam,
I've been thinking about some "fitted" luggage ever since our last 3-day to Vermont. Trying to smash my generic soft luggage into the back and into the trunk was not acceptable. I was worried about denting the trunk from the inside too.

Are those bags made to fit across the rear seats? Any leads from anyone on a good solution would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jol

the bag that I currently have is the one on the right in the picture, it fits very nicely under the luagge strap, the other day I was at Pelican parts talking to Tom Gould ( one of the owners) and I asked if he could get me the second case he checked with porsche and they have about a dozen in stock so I called a few friends and they ordered some also through Tom so I'm not sure how many they have left now .

here is a link to the bags on the porsche site = http://www3.us.porsche.com/shop/prod...B4A75ADC1BB90D

I can understand why they have them in stock because if you just click on the Porsche web site they are almost impossible to find.

as you can see by this picture the "shirt case" is hinged and there is a suite case style lock that keeps it closed, the top part of the bag is zipperd .
