    Central . . .

    . . . from the '70-thru-'72 PDLs . . .

    Central Porsche Audi, Inc
    1501 East First Street
    Wichita, KS 67214

Typical/period matte white + med blu rockers on flash-chrome, applied to the classic RWB&Co, std KS pass plate --- 'RO' = Rooks County

Midwest Single Source --- office supplies . . . lives there, now

Here are the two green Vasek Polak Hermosa Beach inserts in my collection. They are thin plastic and appear vintage and do not fluoresce under UV light (a good indicator of vintage vs. repro or new).

I also found an image of a Cutter Ford insert that has the other Robert Brown address so the address change should indicate a specific date (no. 3 vs. no. 9?) but I can’t find anything on the web.

I also located a Vasek Polak Manhattan Beach orange insert image posted on Flickr. It appears to be paper vs. plastic.

I believe this photo was taken when the Porsche Audi and BMW dealerships were at the same location at the Hermosa Beach address. The dealership maps you occasionally run across were probably given out in this location. The maps were made by the Diversified Map Company that was in business until 1975 so they helps date them to this combined dealership photo. The Porsche Audi plate frames were probably issued at this location starting in the early 1970s.

1968 through 1970 California race program Vasek Polak ads. Note the various addresses used in a short period of time. The 1970 Porsche Audi ad may correspond to the arrival of the Porsche Audi Hermosa Beach plate frames.

    Vollstedt . . .

    . . . from the '69 thru '72 PDLs . . .

    Vollstedt Volkswagen, Inc
    605 North Bayshore Dr
    Coos Bay, OR 97420

Semi-matte white lettering in semi-matte blue letter-boxes, over flash-chrome, no Makers' marks/ID, std OR pass plate

Unusual to have Porsche + Audi on the frame --- yet no mention in Co's name. Appears to've only been briefly mounted . . . = pretty mind-blowing

Talk about 'out-of-the-way' --- even Google didn't have a street-view from the front. Current tenants of the address = indeterminate

    University . . .

    . . . from the '71-'72 PDLs . . .

    University Porsche Audi, Inc
    4724 Roosevelt Way NE
    Seaside/Seattle, WA

Dull white lettering in what-looks-like really-pleasing silver-grey letter boxes, flash-chromed, another classic RWB&Co; plate = std '68 pass (base), etc; 'I' = 'Kitsap' county (?)

Interesting frame --- w/ unique coloring

A University VW does business there, now

    A previous mention . . .

Another Ben Romer, Vasek Polak plate insert – this one with phone # (213) 980-0101.

Link from Google shows Ben Romer as wholesale advertising business with a Huntington Beach address…

Also indicates they were established in 2006 so these would be repros? However, this insert appears older so perhaps they had a different previous address?
