    seatbelt replacement. Dolt at work.

Hi, I am attempting to replace the seatbelts on my 70 911t. First question, how does one remove, without damaging, the quarter trim panel that conceals the seatbelt spool? I don't see any obvious screws that hold it to the quarter panel yet it is not interested in moving much and I don't want to make a small (inexpensive) procedure larger than it needs to be. Office desk skills not working here...thanks, Cort.

    Hi,

Not a dumb question. In my car, you get to the retractors by first unscrewing the trim piece that goes along the B pillar and at the rear window sill (where the rear glass meets the interior panels). The hole where the seat belt strap goes through is also bolted in. There are also a few screws holding the rear panel in place but yu will see them when you pull the trim.

    Hope that helps.

I thought 1970 models had fixed anchors - no retracting spools?
