    Correct Finish for '73 P O R S C H E script

Is the black script on the tail a flat, semi-gloss, or gloss finish? The original was annodized black, but has faded to a nice low gloss silver. Time to take the script back to the past.

    Thanks,
    Rick

I'd say somewhere between semi-gloss and flat.

You could have them re-anodized in black to return to "original".

I actually like the faded black anodizing. It gives it a kind of a purplish pewter patina. Now try saying that 3 times quickly!

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.

    Tom,

If it doesn't take too much digging, the info would be helpfull. (Since the car is already some-what incorrect, I will skip the annodizing - thx anyway)

    Thanks,

    dumb question

i'm not made of money but why not buy new?
there seems to be nice repros out there, are they no good?
it seems like a lot of work to refinish (a labor of love?)
just curious as mine are also in poor shape.
