    Larry,

I am planning to head down to Dayton on Thurs., probably leaving late morning. If there is some interest maybe we could get off the Interstate and find some rural roads to head down there on. I am hoping for a nice weather day to take off the Targa top.

    Jol,

I am planning to be there also. I hope you are able to take the Chevron, it would be cool to see you out on the track. Looks like Randy will now be able to go that weekend also. Maybe you can use his black 911 for the weekend.

    Brian:

If you're going Thursday AM, I'll schedule the time to meet up with you, and put in my reservation for the Dinner.

Randy has his Black Beauty finished? I saw it in process -- Wowzers!! Can't wait to see it in action. Maybe, depending on his schedule, we can get together and meet up with you in Indiana. I would certainly appreciate some rural roading along the way. Two Targas topless together!!

Judy won't be coming - she's too nervous about missing the birth of our first grandbaby, but by that time, we should have a schedule more tightly in place - if the baby cooperates. In time she (the baby) will get to know that Porsche schedules take priority, but she is too young at this time to understand.

Looks like I've got to get back to polishing Kermit, and getting my toolkit cleaned up. Don't know that when I'm done, I'll beat that shining example that Dave has. Maybe the best I can hope for is a tie.

Jol: Look forward to meeting you.

Got an email from Vic today following up on some of the arrangements. He is suprised that so many people are driving from so far away to see him. He also is quite happy to be picked up at the airport in an early 911 instead of my wifes Audi! My kinda guy

    Jared, Curt, and Larry,

Any thoughts on which hotel to stay? Looks like the Taj website has 2 hotels, the Double Tree Dayton and the Brown House Inn (no website).

Maybe Dave can give us some guidance on where to stay.

Brian, last year we stayed at a chain type hotel near Dave's house in Centerville - I can't remember the name. Let's hear Dave's suggestion and all book at the same place. Parking situation being more important than turn down service.

Although my car should damn well be invisible in a lot with Kermit, your red Targa and Curt's nuclear interior!!!

    Jared and Brian:

Likely that Judy will NOT be joining us, so the quality of the digs isn't as important to me, just the camaraderie. I am warming up to taking the drive out on Thursday, Brian. I'll get my reservation in for dinner with Vic this week. Then, we have plenty of time to get a route and meeting place/time together before the June run.

Ahhh Centerville, site of two of the largest and nicest antique malls that we have ever seen. I think that Judy and I spent the better part of 2 days going through them. Too bad she isn't coming, although it's a lot cheaper this way!!!!

OK, a quick search on Travelocity uncovered this "gem". Two Diamonds doesn't really thrill me, but there are two good reviews, and a $39 nightly rate. Hey, that's cheap enough even for my budget!!!
