Handle of window crank

The round handle of my window crank is broken, so I looked on ebay for a replacement, but all I saw for sale were the entire handles, and not the plastic round piece on its own.
Where do people get these? Are they a VW common part as well? I was hoping it would be a cheap plastic part, and not a $10 piece + $40 shipping deal.

Karl, a brief tour of The Samba reveals that the fow-vay part has concentric circles, like the theater at Epidaurus. The same site offers an abundance of Porsche cranks of various types without the Porsche tax (shhh!)

mine fell off during the red rally, at the way up hurricane mountain, at the top of the pass, I was able to reattach it....pretty sure I have some extras if you want to come by and grab one.....

this was the window crank rally. mine shredded a chunk of plastic on Thursday morning. but i re-attached the knob and it worked. in the meantime I got a spare donated by Santa.

You guys don't know your own strength.

And the brutal thing is, I just KNOW I have a pair of those handles, they were on '065 (incorrectly) when I acquired her.

The problem is, they sit somewhere among approximately 5,000 parts I have been collecting over the last decade and I could probably produce them around July 4th with the aid of a spelunking helmet.

Just in case it helps you can still buy the whole winder handle new from Porsche. I bought 4 last week.
