A terrible day here in London - 3 bombs on the Undergound & one bus blown up.

Confirmed at least 37 dead & 45 seriously injured so far...

Can't say anything political. So, I'm sorry it happened.

Spoke to a colleague in the UK this AM (just checking to see that he and the rest of the office were OK)...he used one word..."horrific". My thoughts are with those on the other side of "the pond".

    6 degrees of separation...

I wasn't going to post here as I truly didn't know how to express my sorrow (and anger) without sounding like a typically hyper-sensitive female (and mum)...but something happened this morning which proved to me just how small a world we all live in.

We were driving to school; Billy (just turned 6) says to me one of his best buds had family in one of the trains..."Callum's cousin got hit by the bomb on the train in England mummy - he's not dead but he got hit by the bomb and he's not good".

How the hell does one explain why this happened to a 6yo who has been touched by this tragedy through one of his best buds ? Sadly in these sorts of circumstances we find we all know someone who knows someone etc who has been affected - my heart goes out to all those affected as well as all those 'someones' who know them...

If I had the chance to be granted just one wish it would be for the world to be a happy and peaceful place where our children could live in harmony...

Y'know Chuck I did exactly that tonight...I had special time with all 3 of 'em tonight; even Tom (almost 13) sat on my knee for a "mum cuddle" and a chat about "stuff"...I need to stop and count my blessings - I am indeed a very lucky gal .

    Cheers,
