Once again, awesome photos. Are you the photographer in all the photos you post?
Here are a few from my early days at the track. Not bad for a 9 year old with a cheap kodak.
This is Road Atlanta, and according to the back of the photos, in 1983. Driver- Sarel van der Merwe.

No, I didn't start going to races until 1978 - I missed all the good stuff!
Curt,
Of the 3 black&whites, out of the Keyser book, the second shows most of the Siffert stable of cars for the movie and the three mechanics who maintained them for him. The guy on the right (with the Phil Collins hair) is Hugo Schibler... Schibler wrenched for Siffert through his whole career including the first 917 USA effort with the PA in '69... though the CanAM with the 917 STP car in '71
I saw and talked to Hugo about 3 years ago....
Where ?
Working in the engine room at Kevin Buckler's Racers Group in Sonoma CA.
... and so it goes

great fotos.
WOW!
The pic showing Huschke von Hanstein wearing a dinner jacket in the 550Spyder on the bank is truely spectacular!!!
I LOVE THAT ONE!
It looks to me like that shot was taken on an indoor bycicle track, since it looks like the bank curve has wooden flooring...
NICE ANYWAY!
Its a keeper!
