    Is that a front caliper he is holding?

    It looks to be an Aluminum s caliper. I have heard that a couple factory special 911STs like the 1970 TdF lightweight used Aluminum calipers in the front and rear, mainly to reduce weight.

    1974 Norris-Ring (In Nuremburg)

    This was a street circuit that went around the old Nazi stadium in Nuremburg, (West) Germany.
    I was stationed in Stuttgart from 1973-1975 and we hopped a train to this race. It featured Niki Lauda and Hans Stuck, Jr. But neither were driving Porsches that day.
