    that is the correct weltmeister for 1970 cars (i have one) placed in front window near bottom corner on the passenger side.

    they are actually available through the registry

    Are they the same round form like the rear ones, because this looks oval or its the way the pic was taken?

    There was a Playboy interview with him (one I can actually claim to have read) about the time the movie came out. If I remember correctly, he said the factory presented him with the car during filming when they learned he planned to show a Porsche winning the race. He was extremely proud of the car because it was a "family" car - one pulled off the assembly line and hand built to exacting tolerances as was done for a Porsche board member or member of the Porsche or Piech family when they got cars for their personal use.

    I think those are my vidcaps. The software I was using was strange and distorted the images. I than had to manually try to correct the distortion. Look at the distortion of the car in the first image (the side view)!

    So i guess they pulled a US spec car from the line, since it looks US spec.
    An oval one for the front is kind of cool!

    no it is not oval it is round just like the rear window placement ones, this was the first yr. for the weltmeister and porsche put it in the front window in 1970
