    Engine # 6640636 Type Verification

I just purchased an engine with serial nr. 6640636. I know what type it is but I can't place the serial nr. precisely in any of my books. Can anyone confirm the engine type for me. I prefer not disclose the engine type as not to bias any answers. I know where the serial nrs. for this engine type begin, but I do not know where it ends. There is a pot of gold at the end of this story....

    Any comments are welcome!

Indeed, this engine is from a '74 Euro Carrera (911/83 engine) with 106K KM that was totalled. I tried to get the whole car but it long gone.
