    Lets Play: "Name this Piston!"

Ok, so I have these 90mm Mahle pistons and cylinders that I orginally thought were RS pistons. Upon further research and with the helpf of Chuck Miller, I have come to the conclusion that they are much higher compression - possibly 10.3:1. Can anyone help me with a positive ID?

Oh, and I only have 5.........anyone got a sixth?

One of the 2.2S pitons you just posted for sale?

It sounds like you aren't 100% sure. Perhaps someone has the equipment to cc them that is near you?

BTW, if you sent one to JE, Cosworth or Omega, I'm sure they'd be able to make you a dead ringer...for a price.

    RS pistons

Hello: What I think you have there is a replacement RS style piston and cylinder set. The dome is higher on these with a compression of about 10:1 if used with 2.4 heads. If you use 2.7 heads it will be a little lower. If you use these with good gas and don't get carried away with your timing these work great. I would also run a little rich as well. I have also seen a couple of different style RS pistons as well. They call them Euro RS piston sets etc. Thanks Eric
