I contacted the factory and they said the truck is completely sold out (within a matter of weeks, apparently!). However, they believe models are still available from the Porsche Museum - Porsche bought a significant number of them. I'm not sure if they have a website?????

I did find this contact info:

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG
    Porscheplatz 1
    D - 70435 Stuttgart
    Tel: (0711) 911 - 25685
    Fax: (0711) 911 - 27300
    E-Mail: porschemuseum@porsche.de

    Might be worth an eMail.

Also, it looks like the Martini version will be shown at the February '06 Nuremberg Toy Fair and will be available later in '06!

    service van

    Curt,
This is a shot at the 1966 ADAC 1,000 km race on the Nurburgring, 906's of Bondurant, and Rindt. Looks to be the service van, and an open transporter parked in the background.

Found some 1:43 and 1:87 Porsche transporters from High Tech Modell. Pricey, but nice quality.

    1:43 (235Euro unbuilt kit)--

    Curt,
The "Brumos-owned" Porsche Transporter pictured in your original post was completely restored a few years ago in West Palm Beach by Jerry and Tom Sutterfield (along with help from a lot of friends). They did a lot of historical digging with help from the factory while working on the project. Your question regarding what this carried was one of the interesting bits of history of this hauler. If I recall correctly, it was active for a very long time in various paint schemes carrying everything from the early plastic cars, including the 917s, through the 962 program.

Thanks Lee. I've tried to do a little digging on this myself and did find that it was used for some of the 917s. Hadn't heard about the 962s. Those guys did a fabulous job on the resto!
