    Engine lid shock

The shock that holds the engine lid on my 69S seems to be too powerful causing the left side of the lid to sit higher than the right. It may have been meant for a car with a wing instead of one without like mine. Is there a fix for this?

    Don,
I had the same problem when I went to install a new shock on
my decklid. My remedy was to remove a shock from the
Hood (one that was a bit aged ) put it on the rear, install
the new shock on the trunk. Works fine now.

Here's one solution. Not a shock.

Sorry. Here's a closer look. It's carbon fiber. It's light. It swivels on an aluminum rod end. It replaces the rear shock. Similar setup for the front.

I've been waiting for about 15 minutes to revise my previous post. I'm still waiting.

Shouldn't our current web host move forward into the early days of the internet?
