Thread: Are 911 and 912 headrests interchangeable?

  1. #1

Question Are 911 and 912 headrests interchangeable?

I've noticed that there are different shaped headrests for 911s and 912s. Are they interchangeable?

Are 911S headrests different to normal headrests?

    Erwin,
Headrests should be the exact between the 911 and 911S for each specific year. Perhaps someone did an amateur reupholstery job on the ones you compared.

There were 3 different headrests for 911/912, though no differences model to model for the same period of time. The first headrest was round and attached to the back of the seat. the next headrest was D-shaped and the last headrest introduced sometime during 1971/1972 is referred to as the "peanut" shape.
