I don't know if anybody sells them anymore. I bought mine years ago from a company that no longer is around. Black Wurth box, a really nice fastener assortment. I'd suggest checking out the websites of PANO and EXCELLENCE advertisers. If Wurth still assembles it, it's gotta be out there somewhere. Sorry I wasn't more help...

They are available now. You need to find a Wurth distributor. In my small city he also handles a bunch of other lines. Try the Wurth web site. They may not sell retail, but can direct you I'm sure.

Note: AFAIK, they don't have the period correct goldish stuff anymore. All fasteners are silver colored.

So, once again I lucked out by buying early? Now I'm regretting that I didn't buy often.

Another option I learned years ago was to collect every single used fastener I could find. I would then have them replated and now have a great stash of fasteners in those stand up organizers with the clear drawers. It is never too late to start collecting fasteners. Eurotech calls me once a month with a request for some weird fastener that has to be new and he cant get, so I can go to that section I have pull one out and mail it to him. You cant have enough fasteners, and like Paul said if you didny by it long ago, you can forget about getting it now.

    Randy:

Wurth does indeed have the yellow-zinc plated hardware (as well as the silver-zinc plated stuff for the 356 guys).

I go through quite a bit of it,...

Jeff's suggestion of keeping ALL of your old Porsche hardware and having it replated is excellent, but IMHO its still prudent to keep collections of yellow metric hardware on hand so one always has everything you need.

Thanks for the correction. Looks like PDX is the place to be...

Now, are these less expensive or nicer than the Eagle-Day ones?

The least expensive path for excellent metric hardware is to buy it in bulk; boxes of 50 to 100 items, each. In most cases, thats impractical for DIY'ers so places like Wurth and others represent a practical option.

Normally speaking, I simply call my Wurth Rep with the part #'s of what I need and he makes it appear inside a week. If you have the budget, you can buy assortments in steel trays from Wurth that make organization & inventory control very easy. I clean & replate the rest of what I use here locally.

I've never used Eagle Day so I cannot tell you anything about them aside from their stuff being expensive.
