    station wagon

    Tom- I will probably never sell the 56 Pontiac Safari wagon - I sold the previous one I had, back in '97, regretted letting it go, then embarked on a search for another- I called half the guys in the Pontiac club in California, and found its identical twin....restored to orginal specs....316 V-8, 4-speed Hydramatic trans, 225 HP - runs like a new car!

    Red was an 80's fad color -- maybe the Crocket & Tubbs influence... or maybe too many coked up owners.

    My '73.5 was some sort of horrid goldish color -- apparently a custom code (that's why I asked), so I can understand a PO painting it a different color in the '80's
    .. yeh, guess what color...

    Since the car was covered by tiny bumps and a big 3" long "flake" it was time to grind it all off... it is now Gemini
