Peter and all...
First, sorry I've been out of the loop for a little bit... had to go to Florida for the 'Mouse' for a couple of days....
We delayed our usual first of the month meeting till next Sat... where we will learn the new membership numbers and how much stuff we sold at the Lit Fair and Swap Meet...
What we need is this:
More membership participation in the ESSES our quarterly news letter... we need articles and pictures... If you have something to say about your car or what you've done with it, write it down and send it in. If you have a cool pic of your early car or someone else's (and who doesn't), send it in ... we all like to see pics of our cars.
More membership participation in the running of our club. We need members to step up share the work on the board...
More membership participation in the manning of our event booths ...
I would like to personally thank our member Jim Moore for all the help at the Lit Fair.
Lots of you relay on the Registry to have a presents at the local SoCal events for your membership renewals and merchandise... for personal touch, and we appreciate it. However, with just 3 or 4 of us setting it up, being there all day, and taking it down ... it gets to be a real chore. Without committed help, we will have to evaluate the return against the labor and see if we will continue..... Remember, we on the board are as passionate about these events as you, we love the contact, but do not look forward to being behind the 'table' for the whole day...
Now for general 'pulse of the club' as far as this message board goes... Well, you see the numbers... we're over 1800 !!!! ... We have the best, most dynamic BB covering early 911's there is... and for the most part we've been conducting ourselves civilly while expanding the knowledge base on these old cars further and deeper all the time...and, for the most part, having fun doing it...
It makes me proud to be part of this message board, and of all of us who contribute to it....
Cheers, and always, thanks for the support

Thanks for a great BBS.
I have been posting for a several months...
I became a paid member a little over a month ago (I think)...
I paid because I wanted to vote, and I was inspired by a club for all early 911's...
I am willing to help the club (I'm a So. Cal. accoutant if you need the services)...
And I only own a T.
And I think you should change the name to Early 911's - inlclude them all and build up the membership. S, L, T, E, RS, ST, RSR. EARLY. It's just my opinion - everyone has one...
My $.05.

I guess he said it John, we geographically undesirable folks could try to provide the newsletter with material. Boy, would I ever pay a few bucks to have the writing talent of Jack Olsen right now.Originally Posted by John Fusco

I said this many posts ago. Just add the S,L,T,E,RS,ST,RSR, or Early to my membership number, I think it would add many long nose cars to the club, and they would pay the duesOriginally Posted by daepp
