1972 Porsche 911 TE coupe 43,000 original miles

Unrestored, mostly original 1972 911T non-sunroof coupe. Original Irish green paint (save the driver`s side rear quarter) 43,000 miles with factory a/c and cinnamon leatherette interior, 5spd. and tinted glass, stabilizer bars, factory fuchs, antenna, loudspeaker and noise suppression. Birth date/delivery date 06/01/1972. Purchased new at Guy Gardner`s Porsche-Audi in Fresno, California. First owner from 72-76, second owner from 76-2003. Books, tools & records. Car runs fabulously...new sway bushings and front Bilstiens. Glass, carpet, tires and interior all very good. Dash has small crack at the usual speaker area. Blaupunkt am/fm cassette w/ manual - door pockets are as good as I have seen on an early car.
    $35000

I'm not sure "E" mean "European"? Or does "E" mean "Mechanical injection"?

It's just that the 72 was an E-programmme and the 73 followed as the F-programme. 70 and 71 were C and D respectably. It was listed as such on the COA.......really no big deal though.

E series letter then...yeah, that I'll go for. So Rick, you finally decided to sell?
I hope the car finds a good home.

Thanks, Paul. Yeah I have been on and off about it but I think it's time. We'll see how it goes........very similar to your car as you know but a T car. Nonetheless, an extremely solid coupe.

    TE vs TV

Don't have my notes with me, but I thought the TE identified the US T with MFI, vs the TV as the Euro T with carbs.

Yes, thats what I thought. The E is for Einspritzung (sp?), which I understand is German for injection or injected.

Sounds reasonable to me ...........as the car is a US delivery and MFI as well.

Yup, that is correct. There were 3 different T's in 1972-73. In summary:
    T-E = 911T US version w/MFI (E for Einspritz - German for injected)
    T-V = 911T w/Zeniths (V for Vergasser - German for Carbs)
    73 1/2 911T with CIS
