    Found 67 911/Project Update

With much sweat the car is coming along very quickly. I stripped to metal both quarters, roof top and around outside engine area today. Tomorrow I will treat the metal with cleaner and conditioner and two coats of epoxy primer.

As I have stripped down the entire car I'm finding out that the car had no bondo. The dented panels were finished in lead making the car extremely wavy. I have removed all the lead (very heavy) and replaced with high grade bondo. Some sad news is that I have been finding that some of the older Porsche's with original finishes came with a very low grade primer thus, moisture penetrating down to the metal creating freckles of surface rust under the primer.

My goal is to have my car completed by April and making the Santa Rosa Rgruppe event.

    Regards, Freddie

If you pull that off, I have three things to say:

    1. You are my hero
    2. I can't wait to see it
    3. Can you tell me where you find the time?

    See you there.

    Freddie,
Have you decided on color? Original appearance or hot rod?

Bob, I have decided for Dalmatian Blue. It's a bright color and yet elegant. There were so many choices but it's this color that really opened my eyes. Can't wait to get it done.

You must look at SWB Gulf Blue; if you've ever seen Eric Linden's car, it'll blow your mind.

Kenik, this is Dalmatian Blue or factory name Oxford Blue. I don't see many of these around. It's very striking in person.
