    Freddie,
Before you have your painter load up the spraygun, you may want to look at aga blue as well. It is one of the other correct factory blue colors for the 1967 year and is also very cool. A little darker than gulf blue (E. Linden's car) which is also correct for the 67 model year, and a less flashy than Dalmatian blue. Aga blue is a very cool classic color for the SWB's.
Don't get me wrong, Dalamatian blue looks nice too, but isn't correct for a 67 car (unless of course you REALLY love it).

Yeah, Aga blue is amazing, too. I have to say that I don't love Dalmatian, thus the "suggestions".

These are very nice colors....a little to soft for me. The period colors for 1967 thus far have not been striking enough for me. So, I have been looking at Dalmatian Blue which is a period color for the early 70's. The original color on the car is Light Ivory which is very classy color on the SWB car. If I went this color, I have thought of combining the white with some striking decals so that I would have both worlds? Any suggestions?

    Freddie,
Here are two cents from a guiy who has been in your position already.
My car was originally light ivory as well. When I bought it a PO had somewhere along the line had it painted a medium blue metallic. I have to say, I liked the color, and so did ALOT of other people. However, the car needed a repaint, and I was set on painting it green (in your case it appears you are hot on blue).
So I had viper green, conda green, zambizi green, irish green, and a few others mixed by my painter so I could make a well informed decision.
After looking at all of the colors and spending weeks thinking about it, I ended up going with irish green because it was a period correct color for the car, and I thought it looked great.I am very happy with my choice. But if I had to do it all over again, I would seriously have to rethink going back to light ivory again. I have seen a few pic's of early 911's in correct light ivory (NOT GRAND PRIX WHITE) over the past few years, and I must say that with a few rally decals and some black Porsche script along the rockers, it is very cool. The only white I see on oday's cars that is somewhat similar is the white used on the new Mini Coopers.
One last thought: before making a final decision on paintingthe whole car, have the painter spray one piece and have it properly clearcoated and buffed. Looking at it wet in a can is a totally different color...
