Casting numbers and heads - clearing the confusion

If you have part numbers and dates that are missing from the list, please PM me or post so I can update the list!

I have been banging my head against a wall trying to reconcile PET nubmers with casting numbers and subsequesntly trying to figure out which heads belong to what car. As a result, I have decided to make an effort to consolidate info as I find it regarding casting numbers in heads and to which model car they belong. I am cross referncing the info with basic specs from BA's book.

I am asking that if anyone has info to add to the spreadhseet to please PM or email it to me. I'd love to finally give everyone access to a consolidated spreadsheet that has all of this info in one location.

    Thanks!

Thanks; it has been added. I'll update the site with a zipped version of the XLS in the near future.

You should find the 70/71 heads and 72/73 heads will have the same casting number for the same model.

I thought that might be the case. I'll keep my eyes out when entering new numbers for anomalies.

It is my assumption that the casting dates will have corresponding months for all 12 months of the year?
