    1972 911S engine compartment color

Can Anyone confirm the correct color of the engine compartment? Should it be painted satin black? Or body color? The car is Light Ivory.
    Thanks

Black...and brush it on if you're really looking for "proper". That's so flecks of body color will show. I'm reasonably sure the black was brushed on...though you can't see the flecks of color in this pic, they are there. My car is still original paint.

IIRC, it painted body color with the black brushed on top - hence the flecks that show. Right?

And is the black a paint, or a goo of wome sort? My '73.5 had black but it was a softer surface than most paint...
