    Jay dropped into the Rock Store two weeks ago here in the Santa Monica Mtns. He stopped in to chat. He was driving his 1937 Bugatti Atlantique.

    Exactly! And if they'd offered enough, I'd have sold 'em my car. Provided that they guaranteed it would be melted down afterwards. Better that than it ending up in the hands of some I know of.

    Paul, if your car was crushed and melted down (heaven forbid), you can be certain that your serial number would arise from the cave reborn as a perfectly restored green '72 S, sooner or later.

    Since you posted that twice, let me say that I think they're more than entitled to hang onto that grudge as long as they like. You live through The Blitz and then rush out and embrace German products. And don't kid yourself. Porsche and Hitler weren't casual bowling buddies. Porsche's work was crucial to the Third Reich's war effort.
