    Hi Scooter,

Is there a way you could scan this booklet for us to use as a reference? If it is too much of a hassle don't worry about it. Thanks.

Sorry guys I do not have a scanner to copy this little booklet. I haven't uploaded a pic to this site yet either. I might figure that one out someday.

    Cheers

Well I guess I should have gone to the parts manual first...it shows that the 73RS had it as an option for no S/R cars. Not available for t,e, or s. Other parts manuals don't show it available at all... Any other information cheerfully accepted....

    Thanks,
    eric

    Eric,

Probably of no use whatsoever being for a later car, but I had a factory installed black headliner in my '85 3.2. It was listed on the CofA, but I do not remember the code.

    Eric,

When an early 911 was being made, you could have a lot of items special ordered that were not either standard or catalogue,as long as it was do-able and you could pay for the item.
No doubt it helped to have contacts higher in the organisation.
One that comes to mind is the coloured '911' striping on Dr Schubart's black RS on p138 of the RS book.
IIRC these(awful ) stripes became available as an RPO on the '74s MY.
I don't think it would be so unusual to have a black headliner in a production 911.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.
1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
    1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.

Me and Jashford dyed a few in our day...

Came out of the garage "buzzed" at least once when it was cold outside.

    Best,

    Dennis,

Thanks, I'm very much aware that anything was available (dad was in independent "dealer" back in the 60's and 70's importing Porsche's through Ben Pon out of Holland), however, I'm trying to document general availability of this item.

I'm going to show a 72S at the Portland Parade and it has a black headliner installed by the PO.

Anybody have any documentation proving availability of this item?

Tom, you're always "such a big help"...... ;-)

    thanks,
    Eric
