    That's cool!

Here's one of those 'small world' connections. Canadian director David Cronenberg, famous for his creepy movies, made a cameo appearance in "To Die For" as a hitman who eventually snuffs out the Nicole Kidman character. My brother (A.T.) worked for David Cronenberg on the 1988 movie "Dead Ringers" and is listed in the credits as a Camera Trainee.

That's cool too. Cronenberg was perfect and geographically desirable since he lives in Toronto where we shot the movie.

Did you ever talk cars with David? He used to do some vintage racing. I think he had a couple Cooper F1s. When I worked with him we were always chatting about what was going on in the current F1 season. At the time there was talk of him directing a "Grand Prix" sequel but he turned it down. He wanted to do the script but didn't have time because he was working on "Dead Ringers" or some thing like that. Then years later he wanted to do a movie about von Tripps but couldn't get cooperation from Ferrari or Phil Hill. I ran into David at the local grocery store the other day. He's given up the vintage racing but still has a late model 911.

No. I never got to talk cars with him. Too bad. I do remember Cronenberg was driving a brand new 911 at the time.
