    Targa Tasmania

This is a fantastic event held in Australia's southern most state. Tasmania has some of the best driving roads to be found any where, along with scenery that is out of this world. It attracts entries internationally to compete in a number of classes, for modern, classic, and touring categories.

Unfortunately, this year there doesn't appear to be many early 911's but the variety of entrants is great. Some more pics. Hope you enjoy them!

There may not have been many Mike, but the P-cars acquitted themselves very well across the Board. Jim Richards won the outright Modern competition for the umpteenth time in a 2003 GT2.

Bill Pye and Grant Geelan in a "new" 76 3 litre Carrera had awful luck for the second year in a row. In an unassailable lead and waiting to start on the final stage of the final day (which is really a de-facto victory lap rather than full on competition stage), the car died. Ignition coil. Grant finally got the car going but too late. Finished 3rd.

    cheers
