The car will be delivered with:
    - Original 2.7 engine air filtration
    - Original brake calipers
    - Original rear seats and belts
    - An additional set of fog lights,
    - An original rear suspension arm
    - 2.7 RS Fuchs 7'' rims and the spare wheel and its original inflator

As evidenced by the important file entrusted by its owner, we can retrace mile after mile the many stages of development of our RS. Its owner's objective has always been to optimize the performance of his car in a “Grand Touring, Rally” approach. A very high-performance "road car" rather than a "pistar", evolving over time thanks to the interventions of Louis Meznarie in the 3 areas which are the foundations of the RS concept at Porsche, using only approved parts and modifications.

The car we present today is witness to 40 years of passion, evolutions and kilometers. A true love story between the owner and his car, carried out at high speed.

Ducktail, RS or 2.7. The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 has many nicknames today. What is unique is its significance: it was the fastest German production car at the time and was the first production model with a front and rear spoiler – the latter gave it the nickname “ducktail”. In doing so, Porsche started a trend in 1972 – that of the rear spoiler in production vehicles.

Porsche began developing the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 around 50 years ago. The 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was intended as a homologation vehicle. “It was supposed to be a very light, fast sports vehicle,” recalls Peter Falk, head of series vehicle testing at Porsche at the time. Even though the model variant is based on the 911, it will be a new base vehicle for racing and rallying with many technical innovations. The most powerful model of the first generation of the 911 is the first 911 to be given the nickname “Carrera” – the crowning achievement of the Porsche range. Weight, aerodynamics, engine and chassis are intensively worked on. Around 15 engineers developed the car from May 1972, including Tilman Brodbeck and Hermann Burst, as well as employees from production.

It is possible that this is 911 360 0134 but if it is it has had a significant makeover since July 2020 and put on 26,500 kms
0134 was Swiss delivered viper green with no sunroof, manual windows and had sports seats as the only option. However it did have the same interior as now shown. It was made in November which would fit the December first registration
I cant see any other car that completely fits that description

The only problem in it being it was for sale in the UK in 2020 in GP white and Blue with "lightweight interior" and modern race seats etc - all easily changed but also was advertised with 61,000kms suggesting if it is the car someone has had time to restore it with full colour change as well as interior etc and put 26,500 kms on it

I requested some detailed information from seller. I’m leary of buying a high-dollar car overseas, but we’ll see. Says original engine. Price is in the zone. I also inquired as to any tax liability m

That is interesting. If anyone was interested in this car I would be checking the engine number carefully
the last time I heard about this car it was in the UK, updated with a G body and with a 2.4 E engine

reversing a G body is not hard ... but the engine - maybe not so easy

    I agree with your comments
I took the comment that I was given "upgraded with a G body" to mean the front and rear bumpers , front hood etc superficially upgraded for the "look"
If it was a real shell change (I had not considered that) it would be a lost cause as you suggest and I would call it not capable of being reversed

    Porsche 911 RS Reference
    DT53

Year: 1972 Distance: Price: 68,000 EUR

Rare Carrera RS 911 RS from Dec 72 in viper green. It was converted to a 1974 G-model Carrera after a passenger side collision in the early 80´s. Very good work was done and the car has always maintained its original "viper green" colour. It´s one of the 1st 150 cars with true lightweight chassis with both the chassis and production numbers matching. First registered in Germany and most recent in the UK. Car currently having lightweight interior fitted including seats and carpets and door panels. Very good body, never welded, very good gaps. Very good chrome work, car has 6&7x16 Fuchs wheels. Car comes without the original engine, but the current owner has just fitted the car with a 2,4 911 E engine. Available immediately in Germany for the firm price of EUR 68,000.

I've been spending a little too much time lately diving into the RS world, as I plan to be in the market for a Touring in a couple years. If this was the original chassis, and delivered in France as the listing seems to indicate, shouldn't it be stamped "911SC-F" above the chassis number? I have seen the "911SC-F" stamping on 3 other first-series French-delivered cars, but that seems to be exclusive to French-delivered cars?

For what it's worth, the "6" looks wrong to me also (along with the rest of the stamping).
