I guess that I always question a deal that is too good to be true.Originally Posted by jcarpio

I don't think I want to email my name and phone number to this guy. Anyone want to do so?
Personally, I'd want a lot more than $19K for this car if I owned it.
FYI.....

Edmond-Harris Racing Porsche has for the sale the 1967 European Gr 2 champion originally owned by Karl von Wendt and driven by Gerhard Mitter.
Currently prepped for FIA historics. Looks to be in Lufthansa livery and generating serious exit speed...
No interest in the sale, etc.

Here is an interesting RS Touring (#1115) with private Rally history for sale at Bonhams during Retromobile this coming weekend. Estimates are quite interesting at 320-360K Euro.
"this still highly original example of what has become one of the most iconic of all collector performance cars..." This 'iconic' description should make Dave feel better.

Wow, that's a huge price for a RS Touring, most have to do with 'when road tested recently, it started promptly!!!! Must be pretty rare for a RS then
I will eat a broom if it fetches that sort of money..
Interesting though about the AT engine, did Porsche rebuild engine number 6630900 that must have come from another RS and sold it on? I don't have Konradsheim book at hand, so I can't check if that engine number has ever been in another RS. Anybody know how Porsche did the AT engine deal?
