    Hi Jack,

Nice to see another early RS finished and ready for the street. Did he rebuild his Touring to M471 specs? I can see a rear lightweight bumper in the picture you've posted.

    Hello Mike,

You have good eyes! Actually the car has lightweight pumpers, but my friend has all the parts to modify and make a pure Touring. He told me he doesn't want to change before knowing the new owner's wish!

    Hi Wim,

Probably you have already some of this info but who knows:
0132 (viper green) was owned by Berry Smits, sold via Marcel Roks for the owner at the time (around 12 yrs ago) Heerema. Went via the US to Japan. The engine was enlarged to 2.9 specs, I drove it for 500 meter or so but decided not to buy it....
0174 was owned by Steef Borgers, present owner unknown
0250 was indeed owned by Robert Gross bit he sold it. You have his contact details.

    Groeten,. Cees

I also had The change to buy The Vipergreen Rs for 70k euro in 2002. Short after that the car went to Japan. Accordeons to me it was officially registrated in Holland with VS at the end in the licenceplate. Nice car though.

    Auction Description:
Even with a considerably high production number for the legendary 1973 911 RS 2.7 Carrera, it has become increasingly hard to locate examples with good provenance. The beautiful example offered here, chassis no. 911 360 0802, must be considered among the very best examples of this iconic model.

Completed at Porsche's Zuffenhausen factory in March of 1973, 911 360 0802 was the 802nd example in the RS 2.7 Carrera model range produced. Built to the Touring code 472 specifications, 0802 was completed much as it appears today, finished in 6262 Hellgelb over a black interior, equipped with both passenger and driver side headrests, three-point seat belts, a top-of-the line Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, limited slip differential, and optioned with the more comfortable sports seats.

0802 was built for the home market, and first registered in the Bavarian town of Fussen, right on the border with Austria, on March 27, 1973. The new Carrera RS was registered on the appropriate license plate number FUS-K911; its first owner was 38-year-old Prince Max Emanuel von Thurn & Taxis, a member of the noble German Thurn & Taxis family who built many of the castles in the Bavarian region in the 14th-17th centuries, and later operated in the postal service and brewery businesses.

Prince Max Emanuel would keep the car about a year, before selling it to Mr. Werner Keil, resident of Ottobrunn, Bavaria, on March 5th, 1974. Mr. Keil would later sell the car to fellow Ottobrunn resident Arthur Albrecht, before a Mr. Wolfgang Krischke, from the same town, purchased 0802 in January of 1977. Mr. Krischke kept 0802 for nearly five years, before Mr. Werner Peschke became the next owner during the summer of 1981. The yellow RS was now registered on Munich license plates. The car's sixth owner became Erich Leichte of Oberau, Bavaria, in May of 1982.

Mr. Leichte is believed to have kept 0802 until the summer 1989, when it was purchased by Gottfried Kadach, renowned Porsche restorer and specialist based in Winnenden, Germany. Mr. Kadach, and his company Kadach Porsche-Tuning & Service, is well known in the Porsche racing world. Mr. Kadach states in his thorough restoration report of 0802 that the car was in condition 2 when purchased by him, with very little rust and without any evidence of accidents. 0802 was purchased by Mr. Kadach personally, and would remain in his ownership until 2006, during which time he and his team would completely restore 0802 both cosmetically and mechanically, overhauling the car's mechanicals, and repainting the exterior in the original yellow color.

The RS's next owner became Mr. David Flux of King's Lynn, Norfolk, UK. Once the car arrived on UK shores, he entrusted the Porsche specialists at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire-based Export 56 Limited to sort out a list of mechanical and cosmetic points on 0802. Records of this work totaling over 30,000 GBP can be found in the RS's accompanying history file. Once the work was completed, 0802 was featured in the June 2007 issue of the UK magazine 911 & Porsche World, where the car graced the cover, as well as the June 2007 issue of the French publication, Speedster. In December of 2011, 0802 was serviced by the renowned Porsche specialists at Maxted-Page and Prill Limited, and soon after left for the US, where Great Falls, VA resident John C. Rothenberger became the next caretaker.

Today, 0802 presents very well, and appears to be a car with integrity and no "stories". The car retains its original, matching numbers engine, and fit and finish throughout is remarkable. 0802's extensive history file thoroughly documents the lineage of this great Porsche, and includes copies of original titling paperwork dating back to when the car was new, a restoration report with many photos before and during the restoration by Kadach, and the car's Certificate of Authenticity issued by Porsche. The car is naturally listed in the well-known book on the model, Carrera RS by Dr. Thomas Gruber and Dr. Georg Konradsheim. Furthermore, recent UK registration number plates, tax disks, MOT test certificates, and a copy of the V5 can also be found in the history file.

0802 is offered with a set of tools and jack and the air compressor for the space-saver spare tire. A very good example of the legendary, one-year-only Carrera RS 2.7, 0802 will serve as a cornerstone, and a go-to driver's car, in nearly any collection.

"– One of only 200 M471 Sports Lightweights
    – Matching numbers; fully restored to original specification
    – Includes Porsche Certificate of Authenticity
    – Inspected and verified by Jürgen Barth

Second-series Lightweights are truly a “race car for the street”, and they are considered by many to be the most desirable of the early 911s. This beautifully presented Carrera 2.7 RS is the 619th example built, which makes it one of the few second-series Lightweights. It was sold to its first owner, an Italian enthusiast, who registered it on the first day of January in 1973. It remained in his possession until 2011. In 1975, the exterior of this RS 2.7 was upgraded from its original F-series specification to the newer G-series and repainted red. Fortunately, the owner retained all the original body parts. In 2011, it was sold to an enthusiast in France, who embarked on a comprehensive restoration. To guide the correctness of the restoration, he obtained a Certificate of Authenticity via Porsche France, which was issued on 14 September 2012. The Certificate of Authenticity confirms that this 2.7 RS had originally been delivered in Light Yellow (6262) with a black leatherette (KL) interior, and it came with the M471 Sport Kit option, M102 heated rear glass, and 185/70x15 Pirelli tyres. Photographs taken during the restoration show the factory-applied yellow paint beneath the later re-spray of red.

Today, this wonderful Carrera 2.7 RS appears in its original colour scheme, with black “negative” Carrera scripts, a correctly restored interior in black leatherette, a pair of deep racing bucket seats with screw-adjustable backrests, lap and shoulder safety belts, black rubber mats, and a leather-wrapped four-spoke Sports steering wheel. The rear of the cabin has thin black carpeting and no rear seats. The wheels are correct six- and seven-inch wide anodised Fuchs “windmills”, and there is a collapsible spare tyre on a Fuchs rim. On 30 January 2013, the car was re-registered in France with plate number CF 818 HB for a private collection.

This Porsche, which is supplied with a detailed file of restoration photographs, presents a wonderful opportunity to acquire what is essentially a two-owner automobile. Jürgen Barth, who inspected the car in August 2014, has verified and confirmed that this car retains its original engine and gearbox and that the production number is also correct. Upon inspection, he commented that the car “corresponds in every detail to the original factory condition”, further attesting to the quality of the restoration."

    '. . . .1973, PORSCHE 911 2.7RS Touring - matching

Sold new in April 1973 at MAHAG, Muenchen. Sold with the options, Grand-prix white - red script, sport seats, limited slip, long range lights, elect. antenna, Becker Europa radio, 3 p. seat belts, sunroof, power windows. Nothing is known about the first owner. In mid 1990's the car was near Stuttgart for sale. It was bought by the well known Porsche body specialist Michael Eiden from Osburg/Trier. The car had some old poor accident repair from it's earlier life. Eiden conducted a full, high quality repair and full restoration. (Documentation available) In 2007. He sold the car via J.Rupp to a French enthusiast Mr. Dayonne. In 2010 the RS was sold to a collector and current owner in Switzerland. The car has Swiss AND valid French title. It has FIVA vintage papers. Since the restoration it has been driven for ca 17000 KM. The looks are stunning, it drives excellent. The engine is matching, most likely also the gearbox (number not readable) Body number and chassis number are matching.
It is a very rare opportunity to own not only a desirable 2.7RS but one with the most attractive appearance and options !

Nice car, but the provenance description is not accurate.
It was in the hands of the first owner not until 2011 but until february 1974, when it was stolen in Milan.
I wonder if it's possible to sell a car that was stolen (and never recovered), even if 40 years ago.
