Not much more I can add to the auction description. Mohlman brought in 2 Brasilian Carreras in '06, this being one of them. There is a short thread on the site mentioning this. These cars from Brasil are interesting. Every one of them was optioned to the max and they were all Tourist delivery. Has to be a story behind this. Oh, also they were all rear spoiler delete and had black headliners.

This Lt. Ivory car sold at Bonhams Quail in '09 for $232K.
All of that came up in casual searches. Apparently the son added the muffler skirt and it's still in place... I'm still struggling to understand the pricing estimate, as I have a client very interested in any RS that can be had in that range without serious "stories." I would certainly like to see a photo of the engine # and type stamping. Bonhams may be throwing out a low estimate to fuel bidding activity. Seems like this would be a $1 million car if all kosher.

Not a very clear image, but it is the only one I have showing the engine serial number. From what I can see this appears to be original, but a much better inspection is needed for sure.

You would know better than I what the current private market is for Carreras, but seems quite a stretch for a 7 figure auction price for this car. Maybe if it was in very original condition. Guess we will see soon.

I am a bit confused about which this one should be. I think it is India Red (ties in with description of Indischrot) and is #0390 but that does not line up with all of the other information in the ad.

Assuming it is a real M471 and it was delivered to Germany and it was a first 500 car.... there were 3 M471 cars in Bahia Red but only one of them was a first 500 car and it went to France and did not have option 220, limited slip diff but did have other options not mentioned in the ad. The other two were a RHD UK car just outside the 500 but clearly not this car and an Italian delivery car in the third series and without option 220. So, to me, that rules out Bahia Red.

There were only 2 M471 cars in India Red. One, #0390, went to Germany (MAHAG / Max Moritz) and had option 220 and no other options and the other was a second series car and went to Italy but did have only option 220.

So based on a process of elimination, assuming the other facts about the car are correct, I think that this is 0390

However I would be surprised if a Max Moritz delivered M471 car does not have a competition history and I would have thought that would be worth mentioning in any advertisement as well

Confirmed by the seller, it's indeed 0390 and no competition history.

No, did not dare to ask but would not be surprised that it is around 1,000,000€!!!

    Here another nice example: https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car...11/1973/303394

again from a process of elimination I think that is 0511 - not many LHD gulf blue M472, only a couple with option 220 (LSD), and only one with sports seats, cord on the seat inserts and no other options
