There is no room for improvement for a car purported to be matching numbers that has obviously had the engine number amateurishly stamped. That is not a matching numbers car. Look at the engine stamping fonts, round top 3 and 4 without closed ends stars not right etc. This is becoming a common practice that makes me stop looking at the rest of the car, and I have looked at a LOT of them recently. Just have the balls to say engine doesn't match, no big deal, just not what I'm looking for. Caveat Emptor.

Which one is it?

From Google Translate...
One of the world's top '73 Carrera RS Touring! Few previous owner, 32 years with the last owner, AMAG extradition, from the first series of 500 Carrera RS (ie even with thin sheets).
Well documented:. From the original board wallet including service book, the exhaust gas pass, the operating instructions for including additional Carrere RS up to the original Hirschmann followers of the antenna is all there.
The entire technology (matching numbers) was revised in 2013, plus the finish constructed from bare sheet ago at one of the best paint shops in Switzerland for a lot of money completely new.
Options such as sports seats, M471 (Touring version), 7 and 8 "Fuchs
In Gulfblau only 18 pieces were produced! As a comparison, for example, "Grand Prix Weiss" were then ordered 457, in "signal yellow" 87 and in "blood orange" 126 Carrera RS
My best guess...

0269 seems to be a M471 car.
This one should be 0374, 0397 or 499, if my data are correct.
We know it was delivered in Switzerland.
If it was delivered in Switzerland It can only be 0374 in my opinion, a M472 car. It was the only Swiss delivered Gulf Blue car.
It looks like a M472 car as well by the trim, although that can change over the years
0374 also had an antenna on the LHS and radio factory fitted, and head rests but not sports seats (although this one now has them.)
the other cars mentioned above were delivered to Sweden (269) or England (397 and 499) the latter two being RHD I think the mistake is in the copy saying it is a M471 car when it is a M472 car

Hi guys,
The Gulf blue RS Touring in Switzerland (#374) is mine. I've added the sport seats but I have the original regular seats too. They have been in storage for 30 years and are in very nice condition but I like the sport seats much more because I drive my RS :-)
Cheers,
Mike
