Thread: RGruppe Event, What a blast

That's Barrett's car. It is proof that a turbo is a perfect R Gruppe car and is every bit as fast as you think it is. I'll let him share the details.

The yellow car is pretty stealthy - until it starts up.......

I didn't get a picture of it with the lid up, but everyone seemed to have a camera, so I'm sure there will be more.

I can only imagine it's gotta be something along the lines of Rick Moranis in Spaceballs when he throws the switch for "Ludicrous Speed".

Wow! Now THAT was an incredible weekend! This was my first Treffen, and I'm SO happy I made the trip out! Thanks to all who gave me some passenger seat time (Duane, Mike, Rob, Will ) and especially those who offered me a driver seat... (Dave C and Shawn) now THAT'S generosity! It was great to meet so many of you who previously existed only on my computer screen... too long a list to post. Hats off to those who put it all together... any *smack talk* of the RGruppe is misplaced - they are the most friendly, generous bunch of people one could ever hope to meet!

Here's the Gruppe photo. Note: there were many other cars - these are only the guys who decided to drive up to Infinieon for the photo op.

Talk about all the nice colors .... I especially like the grey/beige

Looks like everyone had a real good time ....

If you got together 200 or so new model porsches (post 90's), how many different colors would you have? How many non-metallic colors would you have?
    It's a pity ...

Great pics everyone ... keep em coming ...

My first Treffen. A great time, great group, fantastic cars and amazing driving. Unfortunately missed Saturday's festivities but had an epic drive back to LA retracing TRE Dave's route.

Nice to meet all those who I did and great to put names to faces. Lets try and make sure and get the SoCal faithful together a little more often for some drives.

Here's a few of the many great pics of great cars that I got. Got to agree I think the yellow turbo got my vote as one of my favorites there.

That parking lot looks like the off loading dock in '72! WOW. How cool is that!
That event makes me wish I still lived in LA.
