    Cof A interior help

I am restoring a 1972 911s Targa. The exterior is mostly complete, now I am starting on the interior. The previous owner had disassembled most of the car. Most of the interior was not included at purchase. I am trying to get it back to original as possible. I went and obtained a CofA hoping it would tell me the color of the carpet, the leather/vinyl, etc.
The color listed on the cofa is a cinnamon. I am thinking it was probably a overal tan interior with a cinamon insert in the sport seats.

    What do you guys think?
Here are pictures of the cofa and of the pieces left of the interior.

Sorry - can't provide any definitive information - but a chap on another forum has been restoring a car with an interior similar to yours - check it out at:

    PMJT,
I just spent a few minutes on that website. Holy crap.

Brings a tear to my eye.

The car is a "1972 Carrera S" per the COA. This just sounds bizarre. I didn't think the Carrera designation came to the 911 until the RS? Is this just another one of those joyous "liberal translation" issues we see in COAs?

BTW, thanks for pointing me at yet another forum that is going to burn copious amounts of my time...

Good eye Kenikh. Glossed right over that. Maybe I should order a new COA. Could add big $$$ to an ill informed.

Maybe the Carrera 2 refers to a left-over 356 engine they had laying around and stuffed in -- just to get rid on the roller bearings...

If it was a left over Carrera 2 engine from a 356 it would fetch $100K easy. The 4 cam 4 cylinders were quite a power plant
