Hmmm, not sure about installing side sills #3 before #9 kick plates as shown in link above (http://www.original911.com/docs/rs_carpet_guide.pdf.) I start with kick plates (with map pockets) up front first. They are most difficult IMO (especially for my ailing back!) and good to get them out of the way. Besides the side sills, which I do second, need to lay atop the kick plate carpets unless I'm missing something basic here.

When doing the long side sills, best to glue down in sections, starting up front and work back. Use grease pen for alignment when you dry fit and align when gluing down in stages.

When I installed mine, I found a cheap steamer to be one of the best tool for installation around the compound curves. Good luck.

Also be prepared to do some slight trimming, especially making cuts (slits) where needed in the "apex" section where the carpet makes turns so it can lie flat and not pucker up. Obviously, these are sections where other carpet sections or floor mats will fit over to hide. Be careful when making any cuts as the consequences are not reversible.

Personally, I'd have the beer (better yet, Grey Goose Vodka) after you finish ...

    Good luck!
