Very nice looking '69 T on CL Wash. DC

Sorry, don't know how to do the link thing. i'd be looking at it myself but just can't stretch the budget enough to do an engine swap for more power.

The '69T is a nice car, other than having the disctinction of being the slowest 911 ever made. If I found a really, really nice '69T, I'd pull the motor for something faster.

that's just the problem for me. not sure what's involved but i'm guessing it's not very easy as the 901 trans. is different from the 915. my fear is it could get REAL expensive real fast and i'll just end up wishing i'd bought the car i really wanted in the first place.

Cheap and easy. To mate a later motor to a 901 tranny just takes a flywheel swap. This is common, easy and relatively cheap. I love the 901.

well ****. and i went and posted the listing up. still, not going to call dibs as i received an email today from the owner of the '69 i've been chasing hard for several months now.

it is looking good for me if the replacement vehicle happens at his required price. we shall see i guess but i'm not giving up on this car unless i find a better one or he says 'no'.

so the cheap/hot ticket with the T would be a 2.7 from a '74 and eventually PMO's; maybe a top end first.
