    1974 G-Series specifications

    can someone help me decode the engine type and transmission type

    Year of manufacture 1974
    Chassis Number 9114300829
    Engine number 6341854
    Engine type 911/93
    Transmission type 915/06

    Engine a 74S in my book. The transmission number does not designate, S or normal and was used for both.

    915/06 is a 5 speed (with 7:31 c/w & pinion as per model).

    175HP (DIN) which is the same as the American 2.7 Carrera with CIS of the same year. (We got the real deal down here 911/83 with MFI )

    Looks like matching numbers to me.

    /06 is indeed the 5 spd (4spd is the /16).

    My book says 175 DIN HP (167 SAE)
