Another silver car guy here - giving the thumbs up for chartreuse.
    Safety colors are cool!

Also granting permission to color-change from sepia, although I don't hate it... really!. If someone ever put the right orange racey-type graphics on a sepia hot rod ... it would be VERRY cool!

Wink From a girl's point of view

I love it...but then I love this colour and its relations in clothing and decor anyway.... .

Dad owned a G Series Carrera in this colour years ago (Euro 2.7 Carrera); it was and still is a stunner.

Personally I think the colour sits better on a Coupe than a Targa though; and I agree with Brian that the interior must be black to carry this colour well. Anything else could (would) look disastrous.

It's a strong, stand-out, extroverted colour.... but it needs to be a stellar paint job to really work right. Perfection in the paint is the key to this colour as well as all the trim being in good nic. If your trim/brightwork looks tired then this colour will too. The package of beautiful paint and beautiful trim is what will make it.

I say do it; but do it well...and if you don't like it send it down here - I'll have it !

    Cheers,

    Lisa

Or depending on how old the photo is with sun fade, it could be gold.

Sandi - I believe you're correct about it being Olive:

    Lisa,

The color 226 was not offered in the G body style but I'm thinking you're dad's Carrera was 137, Lime Green, like this one.

Lime Green's like Viper green. An AWESOME choice. Notice the avatar with the biggest smile?

But those pictures of chartreuse cars... Why aren't owners sending them? HELLO OUT THERE! Where are you lucky colorful folks? I mean, with sooo many people loving the color here. And the numerous color changes that must have taken place in so many different countries in over thirty-five years. Could it be that not one person in the history of Porsche ownership has ever switched to this adorable hue? How could it be so? Hmmm....
