    So ballpark? Looks like alu weighs ~25% as much as steel

    Steel is significantly stronger then aluminum --- so I'm thinking you may need more alu to make up a given panel . . . but I'm thinking you could cut the weight of a body shell by %40-%50

    It would be a very fun release party for the builder..
    I think it would be fun
    i know i would be tickled doing it
    could have a door prize for whoever guesses the closest to the correct weight difference.

    That’s right. My GTS had both front and rear aluminum bumpers. (Plus door skins, lid, lightweight body, glass etc).
