    Lilac is a terrific color by the way it dramatically changes hue with the light - plus you won't see yourself coming and going at club meets. Or if you want to be unique, you can take John Cougar Melloncamps advice and 'paint that mother pink'.

    Lilac??? Looks like aubergine in a few of those shots

    Aubergine is a beautiful color on an early car. There's great contrast between the dark purplish color and the bright chrome.

    I had a 69' T painted aubergine. It was a real head turner. I sold it to an MD in Germany. I hope the car still looks as good as it did when I sold it back in the early 90's.

    Yes!!!! My 72 was originally Lilac and I was really tempted to repaint it taht color, but it was silver when I bought it and I'd always wanted a silver 911, so it got repainted silver. But here is a link to a 72 repainted in lilac. I'll look for some more examples I have saved.
