I read the ad and what is this all about...

A 6% - fully tax deductible - buyer's premium will be added to the highest bid and will benefit The American Concours Foundation.

Is there now a foundation benefiting the poor and downtrodden concours participants? I don't get it?

They have an addendum for the correct vin number.

here it is so you can research its history.

    Addendum: VIN # 911 360 4620

I don't know anything about the car, seller and have no interest in this auction other then spreading more news. my disclaimer.

That IS the VIN I was referring to when I started the post. NOT a RS vin number, not close. What it is, who knows????

The add-on goes to find low-income housing for the many homeless concours participants. The denigration of living in cardboard boxes - vintage boxes or not - has to end sometime.

If any of the #s are correct in the last 4 digits (we know that the 7th digit can't be correct) are correct my somewhat wild guess is the VIN is 911 360 0720.

This is based on the color, location of delivery, gauge style, options on the car, and window decal. The car was made before March of '73 so it has to be a first or mid second series car. Sure looks like a nice car. Wish we had more detailed photos.

    Ok

OK Brian, I'll buy it. Sounds about right, but boy are they EVER OFF or what??? I sure wouldn't be bidding on a RS that I had to guess the vin number. Weird....does look nice tho....(not as nice as another White w\Red car I know tho....
