Oh there is one other immediate project and that's seats from GTS.
Geez my lower back alerady hurts...
On my last long 911 trip (to NY), I got to Indiana and my lower back was quite stiff.

I can't wait to see some pics.

    Congratulations on your new car.

As most know on this post, I too have a gas smell when I top off my tank. I believe its related to the evaparator under the drivers side cowl. hoses deteriorate over time and when I have my car in for body work this winter, I will be replacing those hoses.

A word of advice on cars and wives. I swapped out my stock muffler which was just right according to my wife. When the M&K muffler went in, the car was too loud for her under 2500 RPM. Now I just sail down the highway at 3500 RPM. She doesn't like that either so I tell her... " its your choice! slow and loud or fast and not so loud"

Replace those hoses and expansion chamber. It'll still smell....

My gas smell came from the evaporator box too, both hose barbs had cracked at the base. Liberal JB Weld did a good job solving the leaky fumes for 5 years until I recently found a perfect one on Pelican and replaced it.

Concrats on your new carYou'll learn a lot over the next few months!

My fuel smell came from the short connector hose from the filler neck to the tank. It did not leak, but had a few dry rotted places. One I replaced it no more gasoline smells. Now, warm oil and general 33 year old car smells are another story, but I don't complain about that.

When my second daughter was a young teen she always enjoyed it when I came home in the 911 and backed into the garage. She loved the smell of the exhaust fumes...

You just can't good hydrocarbons and oxides of nitrogen like that anymore...

Dose not that smell that every thing is well lubed and rust protected? And the 33 year old smell dose that count as patina? Just give me a true car any day! Not some plastic, computer controlled pice of Sh**.
