Ikadams,
When you said the red one that's been in the garage for twelve years, I thought you were talking about the election.

Hello; I guess I have been sleeping. My 60 roadster that is totally apart is worth some money now? Good to hear. Thanks Eric
That car is sold, but it had a T engine, not S, so seller dropped it to $8000.
I have a beautiful '65C with a bored 912/webers for sale - fast car!
$30k.
It really bothers me when I read that 356 Speedsters are selling for $125,000-$150000.. And that 356 Roadsters and Cabriolets are selling for prices not the far behind...
I hate it when that happens..
I guess that 356 prices are getting ridiculous so I will start looking for cheap Chevelle and Cuda convertibles. With gas prices at $3 per gallon I cant imagine that these mass produced American cars can be worth much more then what I sold them for in the early 1990s. I think I got $12,500 for my 454 Chevelle convert and $10,500 for my 383 Cuda convert. When I find one I will offer around $15,000 that should get me a good fully restored big block>>>>>NOT!
The truth is that if I sold both of my 356s I still would not have enough $$$ to buy my old 383 Cuda convertible back!.. I watched as a 383 Cuda Convert sold at BJ for $300K PLUS 10% commissions! Thats $330K plus tax etc!
If I sold both of my 356s that would be around $250K and I would still be over $80,000 short...
I guess I screwed up! I kept the Porsches and sold the 5 muscle cars.. Something is wrong with this picture when limited production hand made collector cars (Porsches, Ferraris) are worth less then American iron... Even in Europe!
Ya Keith, that was the one. It's one of those "I knew I should have jumped on it" things but let it slide too long...doh!

A few years ago when the Speed Channel was broadcasting the Barrett-Jackson auction Brock Yates said something to that effect, "You know that things are crazy when Hemi Cudas are bringing more money than Ferrari Daytonas". I couldn't agree more.

'78 SC; total option delete car
'58 Speedster; they were ALL option delete cars
But back to the original 356 in question -- Apparently it's worth $15,000 to zero people. No bids.
