Fuchs respray...how far up the lip?

Looking into getting my 5.5x15 Fuchs redone...I noticed a faded line showing the black paint coming a little less than halfway up the lip of the rim... Was this normal or just the result of a previous respray gone bad? I know they can be redone to one's preferences, but just wondering if there was a standard way these came way back when... Anys pics/ideas are appreciated...thanks

Pulling this from the memory banks, the wheels were actually dipped at the factory in the black, about half way up the paddle. Most just tape and respray for the redo. Hope this helps.

Half way up seems to be the factory style. Although I like to put the line down towards the paddles about 1/8 to 1/4" up. Gives it a nicer deep dish look.
