Apparently it still is used, at least occasionally. The current SCM with the feature on the 100th anniversary of Lancia mentions the tour members being able to do laps on it as part of the celebrations.

The facility was recently used in one of the episodes of the wonderful BBC documentary series "The Automobile" .... I had no idea it existed before I saw the series, and it blew me away...
