    Rear Konis

I have a 67S and need to change the rear shocks. The only koni ones available are the Gas type. The later 69 thru 73 have a Koni listed that is an adjustable non gas type.

Would these fit??? What would be the difference?

I know if I have to I can send the Koni's off the car back to the factory and have Koni rebuild them but who knows how long that would take.

The costs is about the same as buying new ones.

Thanks for any help on this,

Scooter, if you bought the Koni shocks since 1980, you can exchange them. They are guaranteed for the life of the car against any defects including wearing out. I just did this myself. They have a program where they can send you new shocks and charge your credit card, then you send them the old ones. Once they look them over and say "Yup they're worn out", then they refund your credit card.

Even if you end up paying for them, the price they charge is pretty unbeatable.

Go to http://www.koni-na.com/warrantyform.pdf. for the warrantee form and more details.

Oh, and I believe that later shocks are longer, because the angle of the shock towers changed when they went LWB.

Hello: Phone Jason at Paragon Products he sells more Porsche Konis than anyone in the world. He can tell you what in available for your car. I like the Koni hydraulic sport shock with external adjuster for the rear of early 911's. Thanks Eric

    Koni's

Thanks guys I will have to figure out what to put on the rears. I bought some red gas ones to replace the red hydraulic ones not knowing they were gas, and that their isn't a stock hydraulic one sold anymore.

The ones sold for the LWB is a different size and won't work.

I will have to decide on sending them to Koni or just use the gas in the rear.

I bought the car 3 years ago so I couldn't say Warranty please.

I may call Paragon and see what they reccommend.

    Thanks agan,
    Scooter

Call Paragon. I'm sure the rear hydraulic Konis are still available. I too like them better than the gas shocks.
