    289 Cobra on eBay

    It is amazing to me that a dealer would put up such lousy photos, but inspite of the that this looks like a real gem. I guess many others think so too based on the bids.

    It is really odd that the ad states they didn't have the keys to move it outside for better photos but they are clearly hanging in the ignition.

    Good eye spotting the keys in the ignition Brian, it makes you wonder about the seller doesn't it? At least he has a 67.6% positive feedback rating.......which doesn't appear to be scaring the bidders off. I guess unmolested/unrestored examples don't pop up all that often any more.

    I owned and raced a 289 cobra for a number of years and although that car seems complete, the fenders did not come that way unless they were special order and that was usually for racing. The ourside lips are not 289 street correct. Obviously more questions need to be asked.
