    Decoding the VIN

    I very recently bought a 67S in need of a resto. I'm sure it will evolve into a full-on bare metal job, lasting into the next decade.

    I've searched here and the related link to decode the VIN...if i missed it, sorry to ask here. But I'd like to obtain info regarding original paint, interior, and any options. Where can I get tis data?

    Also, a good early 911 restoration 'bible'???

    VIN decode

    Congratualtions!

    What is your VIN? Unfortunetly, other than indicating the year and the model, the VIN by itself offers just about nothing in the way of orginal paint code (look on the door jamb tag for that) and options. You will need to write to PCNA and pay to get some informaiton. Here is the link:
