    Mystery piece

I need help identifying the piece below. There was one inside each door of my 71 S when I took it apart. I'm putting it back together now and have no idea where it goes or what it does???

    Anyone

    Thanks, John

Window stop that goes inside the door. Mine were glued onto the bottom inside door, right about where the front window channel sits. Never knew what it does, but I assume it cushions something that could possibly hit the inside of the outter door skin. Hope this helps, Allan

    cushion stop for window winder?

I believe these pieces dampen the window winder at fulll bottom. With the interior panel off, wind the window to full bottom and see where it bottoms out. I believe this is where the piece goes.

If I'm wrong (won't be first or last by a mile) I am as interested to know as you are!

    Unhappy

Thanks for the responses. I placed it in several points inside the door and I just don't see where it will have any effect when the window is all the way down. Oh well, maybe its just not that important.

    Thanks again,

    John

Well after playing with them for a while I put them in as below. Don't know if its right or not but it seemed to make sense.

    Hi Jashford,

That is where my rubber "mystery piece" goes too.
