Use 2.4 T MFI heads for CIS car?

Can I adapt 2.4 T MFI heads for my CIS car? The heads appear to be the same, except for the injector installation. It looks to me as if the CIS aluminum injector holder could be installed in the place where the MFI injector goes, after boring it out. This would also mean making the aluminum injector holders, so I would need a set of dimensions, or find someone who has made a set.

I have a set of MFI heads with less than 20,000 original miles, and I would like to put them to use.

Any clues or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Fwiw...

That's like puting socks on a rooster ... more trouble than it's worth.

You're better off just using the right parts for the application. Save yourself a bunch of time, money and Advil and buy a set of used 2.4T CIS heads and refurbish them.

Or, you could go the other route and turn the car into an MFI car. However, there's far more work (and parts) invoved in the latter proposition.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, "Don't straddle the fence." If you want CIS, use CIS heads. If you want MFI, use MFI heads.

I have '74 CIS heads that I was going to make twin plug MFI heads out of...maybe we should get together...
